KEPT FOR THE MASTER’S USE / MY KING

Caldwell, New York, no date but appears 1^st thus; Prefatory Note dated 11^th June 1879 for Kept for the Master’s Use, December 5, 1876 for My King.  Hard cover, 185 pages for Kept for the Master’s Use, and 139 pages for My King.  Very good for age; green cloth with green, black and gilt decoration on front board; green, black and gilt decoration on spine.  Gilt lettering and decoration on spine quite rubbed but still visible.  Corners and spine ends show some wear, with tiny tears to cloth at spine ends.  Binding sound, one signature a bit loose but still attached; gift inscription on FEP dated Sept. 22, 1899; black and white frontis of Frances Ridley Havergal; title page in colour; pencil erasures on verso of frontis page.  A few pencil marks in margins, occasional age spot and one soil/drip spot that permeated a few pages; all text legible.  Gospel based devotional on how to live your life for Christ, giving every part of your body and life for His use.
