Rivingtons, London, 1881, Second Edition.  Hard cover, 669 pages including Indices.  Good for age; brown leather with beveled edges, front and rear boards ruled and blind stamped.  Wear to edges with some board exposed at corners; some rubs and scratches, scrape on rear board.  Spine ends show wear, five raised bands, title in gilt on brown leather label.  Binding sound with headbands, cracked at first blank page; outer page block tinted glossy red.  Marbled end papers, with front EP a bit loose; gift inscription on verso of FEP dated 1883.  Interior pages lightly tanned; a few straightened corner bends; some discolouration on some pages from flowers being press but all text readable; some age spots.  Preface by H. P. Liddon.  Commentary on Gospel verses in the New Testament.
