Tecumseh was a legendary Shawnee leader who organized a confederacy during the 1700s in Ohio, and was allied with Great Britain during the War of 1812. The play deals with his participation with General Brock in the capturing of Fort Detroit up to his death at the battle of Moravian Town in 1813.
