Ziff-Davis Publishing Company, Chicago, 1949, First thus.  Translated from the German by Eric Posselt.  Analytical commentary by Serge Lang and Ernst Von Schenck.  Hard cover, 328 pages.  Black boards with publisher and logo in gilt on spine; two red cloth labels, one with title in gilt in 3-ruled gilt frame; second label is smaller (possibly clipped as it is not quite square on the spine) with only two gilt rules showing top and bottom and none at the sides; names of Lang and Von Schenck in gilt have been rubbed away.  Board corners and bottom edges show wear; spine ends bumped with some wear.  Boards show some marks and stains primarily from tape repairs on verso of jacket.  Binding is sound; bit of soil on outer page block.  Dust jacket has price intact, but has been heavily repaired on verso; still shows losses along most edges, with several large losses as well, tears and losses along folds; faded water marks, some soil and age-toning.  Text clean and unmarked, pages lightly tanning, one straightened dog-ear; black & white frontis of Rosenberg.  ‘The inspiration for the murderous blood-bath in which the German Reich indulged can be traced directly to Rosenberg’s unbridled hatred for the Slavic East and his strange anti-Semitic fixation.  This cowardly egocentric – moody, retiring, and maudlin – yet glibly persuasive in his warped preachings, succeeded in setting aside the laws of civilization.  The consequences of his teachings were deadly, not only for Germany and Europe, but probably for the entire world.’ (from front flap)
