Dragon in gilt on front board, gilt lettering on spine; bit of fading along top inner edges not covered by jacket.  Spine ends lightly bumped.  Binding quite tight; outer page block tanned.  Dust jacket with price of 13s 6d Net, code 007-0011 on front flap with lower corner clipped, shows light edge wear, some impressions on rear panel at gutter, some age toning, crease along upper front panel, tanning along inner jacket edges; spine a bit sunned.  Book interior clean and unmarked with lightly tanned pages.  Black & white illustrations by Constance Marshall.  ‘She discovered that the Dragon’s book was indeed a very special one – the record of his life and adventures at the Court of King Arthur.  She learned how the Dragon had served the King faithfully for a year in the kitchens at Camelot and had then been granted his one wish – to be given a chance to prove that he, too, was as brave and chivalrous as Arthur’s knights. … R.
