Grosset & Dunlap, New York, 1911.  Hard cover, 437 pages.  Some edge and cover wear, corners bumped and worn with some fraying; spine ends bumped and worn with tiny losses to cloth; some spots on boards and spine; old water mark at top of rear board; binding a bit loose with all pages secure.  No jacket.  Interior clean and unmarked with occasional straightened corner bend, occasional short edge tear.  Over 200 drawings by the author including black & white frontis.  ‘The Adventures of a Boy Scout With Indian Quonab and Little Dog Skookum’  Tells the story of an adolescent boy who escapes an abusive home life and runs away with his dog to the woods to live with an Indian.  Set in the early 19th century, it includes the War of 1812 and his role as a scout.
