Penguin, London, 1958, later reprint.  ISBN 0-14-001308-3.  MMPB, 200 pages.  Very good; wraps show some edge and cover wear, tiny corner bends, light creases; binding sound with a very slight lean.  Interior clean and unmarked with tanning pages.  Post-apocalyptic novel set in the future, where society does not accept or tolerate any mutations.  The narrator, David, befriends Sophie, who has six toes.  David later discovers that he has telepathic abilities, communicates with others who have the same ability, and begins to question the community’s strict fundamentalist rules.
