Boards have some edge wear, corners bumped and worn with bits of board exposed, spine ends worn with tiny tears. Boards have a few stains; spine darkened; binding cracked in spots; small lean to spine. Decorative endpapers, gift inscription on first blank page; black & white frontis with torn and foxed tissue guard. A few loose pages; one illustration laid in; two illustrations missing. Foxing on some pages; smudges/old, dried mildew marks on some pages; one page has possibly a drop of clear dried wax. Illustrations by J. E. Laughlin.
