The China Inland Mission, London, 1921, fifth impression.  Hard cover, 640 pages including Index and bound in folded map at rear, followed by 4 pages of publisher’s ads.  Green cloth with black lettering and design on front board; gilt lettering on spine.  Some corner and spine end wear; a few small spots on boards; binding cracked with all pages secure.  Prior owner’s name and date on FEP with remainder of interior unmarked; a few short edge tears and straightened corner bends; occasional smudges/age spots; pp. 182-3 has darkened areas from a former item being laid in; black & white photos.  Chronicles Hudson Taylor, a British Protestant missionary who spent 51 years in China and who founded the China Inland Mission.
