Frederick Warne, London, June 1963, reprint.  Hard cover, 225 pages.  Yellow boards with green lettering and illustration on front board, green lettering on spine.  Boards show a bit of corner and spine wear and some wear at lower edges.  Binding sound; stray pen mark on lower text block, pink mark on fore-edge; bit of age spotting on spine; some soil on rear board.  Illustrated jacket with price intact shows some soil, small creases; short tears and small losses at spine ends; wear at corners with noticeable rubbing at upper fold edges and small losses; tear at lower spine repaired on verso.  Prior owner’s book plate plus inked initials on FEP; remainder of interior clean and unmarked.  Colour frontis plus black & white and colour illustrations.  ‘The Fairy Caravan is the story of a miniature circus – William and Alexander’s Travelling Circus.  It was no ordinary circus, for Alexander was a Highland terrier to his friends and William was Pony Billy who drew the caravan. … The circus performed only for the animals of the farms and fields they passed, for magic fernseed in their hair shielded them from the eyes of humans.’ (from front flap)
