J. Graham of Belleville, Ontario.  ‘In this Edition I have made a great number of additions, a few excisions, numerous corrections and changes of other kinds.  For example, many recent cases, and some decided before 1909, have been added; their dates have been, for the first time, inserted systematically; where propositions were before laid down without reference to judicial decisions, the latter have been given when available; the American cases cited before have been removed, where English authority existed; several transpositions of the text have been made in the interest of logical order …’ (from Note to the Ninth Edition)
