Majority of cartoons deal with the Great (St. Lawrence) Seaway Project and Cornwall, Ontario. Signed and dated by author on title page. ‘The years 1950 to 1960 were particularly hectic for Cornwall and provided a wide range of subjects for cartoon material. In addition to the giant Seaway project were other problems such as annexation of part of Cornwall Township, the housing shortage, search for new industry, relocation and naming of new towns, the new lake, etc. … This random collection of old cartoons gives a rollicking history of Cornwall during the Seaway Years.’ (from Preface)
