THE FLYING KESTREL
Total In Stock: 1
William Heinemann, London, 1936 (Cheap Edition). Hard cover, 280 pages. Good; red boards with black lettering and publisher’s decoration on front board, black lettering on spine, publisher’s logo on rear board. Corners bumped and show some wear, spine ends bumped with a short tear to cloth at bottom with a touch of fraying. Boards show some colour fading, age-spotting; two small white pieces of paper stuck to spine. All pages secure; slight roll to spine. Dust jacket with price intact shows edge and cover wear, small losses at spine ends and corner folds, tears at lower-middle spine mended on verso. Spine sunned with lettering a bit faded; age-toning, some soil, faded water marks. Book interior clean and unmarked with tanning pages and occasional light age-spotting. Although a ‘Cheap Edition’, it is very readable and has what appears to be a hard-to-find dust jacket. A clipper ship is racing against time from San Francisco around Cape Horn to New York.
